I. INTRODUCTION:

HABC Level 2 COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is a training course that provides participants with an understanding of the hazards associated with different types of substances and how to control exposure to them in the workplace. The course will cover topics on Understanding the hazards associated with different types of substances, including chemicals, biological agents, and dusts. Understanding the legal requirements for COSHH in the workplace.

II.COURSE OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Recognize the legal requirements and responsibilities of employers and employees under the COSHH regulations
  • Identify and assess the risks and hazards associated with hazardous substances, including their toxicity, flammability, and corrosiveness
  • Understand the different routes of entry for hazardous substances into the body, and the health effects they can cause
  • Interpret and use Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to obtain important information about hazardous substances
  • Understand the importance of monitoring and reviewing control measures to ensure their effectiveness
