I. INTRODUCTION:
The course covers the importance of evaluating the effectiveness of risk controls and how to revise risk assessments when necessary. By the end of the course, learners will have the knowledge and skills needed to carry out a risk assessment in their workplace, communicate their findings to relevant stakeholders, and evaluate the effectiveness of their risk controls. The course is based on the principles of risk assessment as well as the importance of carrying out risk assessments to identify and manage hazards in the workplace.
II.COURSE OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and concepts of risk assessment: Learners will understand the principles and concepts of risk assessment, including the importance of identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate control measures.
- Identify and assess workplace hazards: Learners will be able to identify and assess workplace hazards using appropriate risk assessment techniques, such as the identification of hazards through observation, consultation, and review of relevant documentation.
- Evaluate risk and determine appropriate control measures: Learners will be able to evaluate the level of risk associated with identified hazards and determine appropriate control measures to reduce or eliminate risks.
- Implement control measures and review their effectiveness: Learners will be able to implement appropriate control measures to reduce or eliminate risks, and review their effectiveness to ensure that they are working as intended and meeting the required standards
