I. INTRODUCTION:

This course is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to deliver effective training sessions. The course is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of training delivery, from planning and preparation to delivery and evaluation. Throughout the course, participants will be given ample opportunity to put theory into practice, by designing and delivering their own training sessions, receiving feedback from their peers and the trainer, and reflecting on their own performance as a trainer.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of training and development, and the role and responsibilities of a trainer, and to apply this understanding in planning and delivering effective training sessions.
  • Plan and prepare training sessions that are appropriate for the audience and the learning objectives, and to select and use appropriate training methods and materials to achieve the desired learning outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions effectively, using a range of communication and facilitation skills, and to manage group dynamics, handle challenging situations and create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Evaluate training sessions effectively, including assessing learning outcomes, gathering feedback from participants, and evaluating training effectiveness, and to use this feedback to improve future training sessions.
  • Understand the legal and ethical considerations that apply to training delivery, including health and safety, equality and diversity, and data protection.
  • Reflect on their own practice as a trainer, and to identify areas for development and improvement, and to engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance their skills and knowledge.
