I. INTRODUCTION:

The IADC Rig Pass is a safety training program that was developed by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) to ensure that all personnel working on drilling rigs has a basic understanding of the potential hazards associated with drilling operations and are trained to work safely.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES:

This course will:

  • Provide participants with an understanding of the common hazards and risks associated with drilling operations, including those related to equipment, environmental factors, and human factors.
  • Teach participants how to recognize and respond to potential hazards, and how to work safely and effectively on a drilling rig.
  • Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness, accountability, and effective communication among all personnel involved in drilling operations.
  • Ensure that participants recognize the importance of complying with industry regulations and standards related to rig safety.
  • Provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in the event of an emergency or incident on a drilling rig.
